Handgun Basics - Safety & Handling - $100 Includes textbook, course materials, range fee, firearms, ammunition, target and certificate 4 hours in the classroom and fifteen minutes on the shooting range will bring a beginner to the level of novice. What you will learn: Handgun History Ammunition Safe Handling Loading & Unloading Cleaning & Maintenance Grip & Stance Breath Control Sights and Sight Picture Trigger Control Safe Storage Immediately after the classroom session, we go to the range and each student will demonstrate basic safety, load and fire a .22 revolver and a .22 semiautomatic pistol. Course fee includes firearms, ammunition and all classroom materials. Students need only bring their driver's license or passport and checkbook. Responsible children (age 12+) are welcome in this course if accompanied by a paid legal guardian (waiver required). Snack and soda vending available, bring dollar bills. The range fee is included in the course fee. If you wish to practice after the qualification, you are welcome to stay at no additional charge until they close. The range provides eye and ear protection no charge or bring your own. You must have or rent a firearm if you wish to stay. The range rents handguns for $15 and ammunition is available for purchase.
