Handgun Basics - Safety & Handling

Includes textbook, course materials, range fee, firearms, ammunition, target and certificate

4 hours in the classroom and fifteen minutes on the shooting range will bring a beginner to the level of novice.

Immediately after the classroom session, we go to the range and each student will demonstrate basic safety, load and fire a .22 semiautomatic pistol and a .22 revolver.

Course fee includes firearms, ammunition and all classroom materials. Students need only bring their driver's license or passport and checkbook. Responsible children (age 12+) are welcome in this course if accompanied by a paid legal guardian (waiver required). Snack and soda vending available, bring dollar bills.

The range fee is included in the course fee. If you wish to practice after the qualification, you are welcome to stay at no additional charge until they close. The range rents eye and ear protection for $1 each. We sell ear plugs for 50¢ and safety glasses for $3, or bring your own. You must have or rent a firearm if you wish to stay. The range rents handguns for $15 and you must purchase ammunition at the range to use their rental firearms.
